dry mortar information

What is dry mortar?

Earlier mortars were produced by masons or plasterers directly at the building site.
This method could not provide for the constant quality of mortars.
To guarantee the constant quality, dry mortars are nowadays factory produced and pre-mixed, and delivered to the building site in bags and silos.
After mixing with water directly at the building site, dry mortars are immediately ready to use.

Advantages of dry mortars

Since dry mortars are pre-mixed at the plant, any dosing and mixing errors can be excluded.
This is a guarantee  for the production of top-quality products.
Since mortars can be applied both manually and mechanically, construction process becomes more rational.
Dry mortars can be produced for various specific applications.

Application of dry mortars of dry mortars

In order to be ready to use, dry mortars must be
mixed with water directly at the building site.
This can be made both manually and with continuous mixers.
Mechanical processing of dry mortars, e.g. with the help
of troweling/plastering machines, makes the application
easier.

Advantages of Kocmo production plants

All Kocmo dry mortar plants are provided with their own raw material preparation. Thus, practically all natural sands can  be used as an additive which is dried, cleaned, crushed, dust eliminated and respectively granulated in the process of preparation.
In a similar way the plant can be operated with limestone which is dried, cleaned, crushed, dust eliminated and respectively granulated in the process of preparation.
Own raw material preparation allows the manufacturer not only to be independent from the supplier but in future also decrease manufacturing costs.

Kocmo dry mortar plants are very compact. Required manufacturing area including the integrated raw material preparation covers only 400 m2.

Utilizing the experience built up through years of manufacturing and updating own dry mortar plants, Kocmo is able to meet the individual demands of every client.

Kocmo dry mortar plants are made exceptionally from the component parts produced by the leading German engineering plants, thus guarantying a long service life of the dry mortar plant.

Kocmo Know-how
